This area includes the municipalities of Beilrode and Arzberg as well as the eastern districts of Torgau, which stretch along the Elbe. A region full of tranquillity and discovery awaits you in an area of around 160 km².
Hikers and cyclists will find a true oasis, especially in the Falkenstruth. The region offers numerous charming hiking and cycling trails through unspoilt nature. Another highlight are the East Elbe farmers' markets, which take place every three months in front of the impressive Pülswerda Castle and tempt visitors with regional delicacies.
Particularly fascinating are the many small manors, castles and manor houses that invite you to explore - some magnificently restored, others in romantic decay.
A must for horse lovers is the Saxon principal stud in Graditz, one of the oldest horse breeding centres in Saxony. Particularly impressive is the newly renovated castle from 1722, which was built by master builder Pöppelmann. Surrounded by extensive parkland, it now houses the stud farm and is a highlight for culture and nature lovers.
