Play and sports park at the Glacis city park
Torgau's most beautiful, newest and action-packed playgrounds can be found on the site of the former 2022 Saxon State Garden Show, including the play and climbing park with outdoor fitness equipment, trampoline, table tennis and Teqball table. The skate park, the oak playground, the small ‘Torgauer Arche’ petting zoo, a beach volleyball court and the ‘Deichgucker’ observation tower are also located in the immediate vicinity towards the Elbe.
The entrance is on the street ‘Am Stadtpark’. You will also find a car park at Wolffersdorffplatz. You can also reach the park on foot or by bike via the paths of the Glacis city park and along the Elbe.
Young garden
Discover the play and climbing park in the Young garden (Junger Garten) – a paradise for active explorers! Climb on exciting courses, use the outdoor fitness equipment for your personal training or jump on the trampoline. Table tennis and Teqball also offer lots of fun and challenges. The perfect place for young and old to let off steam and experience unforgettable moments together!
Oak meadow
Welcome to the Oak meadow (Eichwiese) in the Torgau play and sports park! A wide range of leisure activities for young and old awaits you here. Experience the skate park, discover the ‘Torgauer Arche’ petting zoo or enjoy the view from the Dike watcher (Deichgucker) observation tower. The oak playground invites children to run around and explore. Soon you can also look forward to a beach bar and a climbing centre. The Eichwiese is the perfect place for exercise, fun and relaxation in the midst of nature!
Glacis
Torgau's green belt, the ‘Glacis’ city park in Torgau, combines play, fun and history in a unique way! Discover the Crane Playground, which will delight young explorers, and enjoy the view from the Ornissteg. The forest playground invites you to enjoy adventurous experiences, while the Wolffersdorff monument is a reminder of times gone by. Here in the Glacis, you can be both active and relaxed - a real highlight for visitors of all ages.
