Discover Torgau - one of the most beautiful Renaissance towns in Germany and find out how modern agriculture works at the educational and experimental farm. After lunch in the Herr Käthe restaurant or in the castle café, head out into the countryside to Köllitzsch.

The educational and experimental farm is part of the Saxon State Office for the Environment, Agriculture and Geology. The main tasks of the 50 or so employees are vocational training, knowledge transfer, demonstrating environmentally friendly land management and carrying out experiments and trials. Modern accommodation and training facilities are available for up to 70 participants.

During a tour of the farm and stables, livestock and field management processes are explained. You can get very close to cattle, pigs, sheep and other animals. Petting and feeding are expressly permitted. You can gain further insights into modern agriculture in the impressive exhibition hall with machinery, vehicles and exhibits from around 90 companies.
A bus tour of the spacious grounds is also possible by prior arrangement.
