The tour takes you from the market to Wolf-Giersings-Brauerbe. You can visit the medieval brewery cellars, blackened by the last town fire in 1482, as well as the sandstone vaults of the brewery from around 1565.
The originally preserved brewing hall still conveys the atmosphere of brewing activity, while brewing history is explained in the taproom.
Enjoy a small beer tasting on the way. The tour continues along Schlossstraße to the courtyard of the electoral palace, where you can immerse yourself in the heyday of the city on the Elbe over 500 years ago. You will find impressive treasures in the cellars beneath the castle chapel. After refreshments in the castle café in the lower courtyard parlor, there is plenty of time to explore on your own.
